Mecasolar, specialist in manufacturing, assembling and installing dual-axis solar trackers and a member of OPDE Group, has begun to expand into China and is making a strong entrance into the Asian photovoltaic solar energy market with the help of the local ET Solar Group.
Its first effort was installing one of its dual-axis solar trackers in the Beijing Olympic Stadium, which will pave the way for installing more than a hundred Mecasolar-manufactured trackers in China in the upcoming months. They will account for a total of 1,000 kW of solar power and will be installed in both landmark and remote locations to supply energy to more isolated towns.
Furthermore, Mecasolar is studying the possibility of opening its own manufacturing plant in China, from which it will supply its dual-axis solar trackers to the Asian market and manufacture different subassemblies for the European market.
Trackers installed in the Beijing Olympic Stadium use Sunny Boy 3300 inverters produced by German manufacturer and European leader SMA, for which PROINSO is one of the primary, official distributors in Spain. PROINSO will receive support from SMA’s large and strong international team, and more specifically, by its Chinese branch.
