The 1,028 MWp solar farm, located in Ma’an, southern Jordan, is set to be connected at the beginning of 2014.
The supply deal adds to other agreements recently reached by the multinational, which expects to sign new contracts in Morocco and Saudi Arabia soon.
The new project in Jordan will contain MECASOLAR’s two post system with a hot dip galvanised steel structure, three modules in portrait layout and fast assembly. The fixed structure model to be installed in Ma’an features 255Wp TRINA SOLAR modules and SMA Tripower 17000TL inverters.
Given the characteristics of the ground, the developers chose a special anchoring system consisting of 1.5m long concrete micropiles thrust into the ground.
